We are committed to the cause and bring a critical eye to goings-on at our workplace.
We stand in solidarity with our fellow academic staff.
What we stand for:
- Research requires freedom.
We want to remove unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles and support the further development of research, teaching, and innovation.
- A more pedestrian and bicyclist-friendly campus should not end up making staff members' lives more difficult.
We call for a comprehensive plan from university administration in which all interest groups’ needs are considered.
- Reasonable measures with regard to worktime recording and timesheets.
Following the ruling on worktime documentation (ECJ 2019 and BAG 2022), the working hours of all employees at our university
will have to be recorded starting in the very near future. We are committed to finding a solution that takes the special situation
of researchers and university instructors into consideration. The new system must be flexible, reasonable in its implementation, and based
on mutual trust.
- Quality work depends on security when it comes to planning.
We advocate for reliable career paths, fair contract terms and periods, and transparent criteria for converting temporary positions into permanent ones.
- Science thrives on dialogue.
We stand for an open dialogue with university administration—critical, constructive, and on equal terms.
- Helping to forge manageable career paths without roadblocks and hurdles.
We support a fair distribution of responsibility regarding teaching, research, and advising.
- Artificial intelligence in research and teaching: Seize opportunities but recognize the risks.
Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing the worlds of research and teaching—we want to play an active role in shaping this change.
We therefore request that our staff receive the best possible workshops and access to the resources that will allow us to use these new
technologies safely and efficiently, and to contribute to the ongoing discussions concerning the ethics of their application.
- The Saarland's new staff representation law: Shaping co-determination in a meaningful way.
The Saarland's new staff representation law expands our opportunities for participation. We want to capitalize on these changes.
Who we are:
- We are independent candidates for the Staff Council from a multitude of our university’s departments and institutes.
- We contribute years of collective experience in departmental and university administration.
- We offer unbureaucratic, pragmatic solutions to problems of all kinds via direct advice.
